How it works
The children we help are unable to attend school without our assistance.
With a sponsorship of $20 US per month, you will help us to pay for their
school fees, uniforms, materials, extra classes and individual tutoring.
This will also provide the families with psychological counseling, assistance
from our social workers and workshops related to health, self-esteem and
parenthood. Through its economic development program, SKIP also supports
the parents who want to create their own small businesses.
As a sponsor, you will join a special group named Amigos de SKIP, which is how we present our long-term and most important supporters to our kids here in El Porvenir. You will receive:
- a welcome kit that contains a photo of your child, biographical information and details about Peru and the child’s community
- an annual progress report with recent photos
You are welcome to write to the child you support. It is our pleasure to deliver letters and encourage the kids to respond with drawings or letters, depending on their age.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN DONORS, CHILDREN AND SKIP HAPPENS VIA INTERNET. |
