how we work

SKIP focuses on getting both male and female children into primary education, thus working towards the achievement of 2nd and 3rd millenium goals proposed by the UN:

  • By 2015, children everywhere, boys and girls alike, will be able to complete a full course of primary schooling.

  • Eliminate gender disparity in primary and secondary education, preferably by 2005, and in all levels of education in no later than 2015.

what we do

Enrolling and retaining children in the education system is much more than a question of money. To ensure sustainable results, we address factors like family economy, emotional well-being, stability of home environment, nutrition, and academic skillset, all of which impact the chances of a child to enter and stay in school. Our holistic approach focusses on four pillars of family development:

Education
Economic development
Psychology
Social work
